Nordstrom’s move to open its first New Jersey store comes as it seeks to expand its presence in the state and attract shoppers to its stores.
The company announced Tuesday it will open its second store in the Garden State.
It plans to open the store in Hoboken in the second quarter of 2019.
The retailer plans to use the new space to offer an array of merchandise, including jewelry, watches and accessories.
The first store opened in New York City in 2015.
The store’s opening in Hobosomie comes as Nordstrom faces competition from stores like Macy’s, which announced earlier this year that it is expanding in the area.
