Vice News, The Huffington Post, and The New York Times have announced that they will launch a new online news platform on July 1, 2018.
The platform, dubbed Vice News First, will allow readers to search for, share, and read stories from across the web.
Vice News is the official home for Vice Media, a digital media company that has been around since 1999 and has a loyal following of more than 1 billion people.
The new site will also allow readers the ability to discover news stories, articles, and other content on a single homepage and in the Vice News app.
Vice will not be the only site launching this summer.
A number of other major sites including CNN, Forbes, Business Insider, The Verge, and BuzzFeed have announced their intention to launch their own news platforms as well.
Vice has been known to be a media darling in the past, and it has long been rumored that Vice News would be launching a website in 2018.
Vice President of Global Media Matt Barrow has been rumored to be looking to expand the company’s reach and be able to reach the masses, so it looks like this new launch could help expand Vice’s reach.
Vice was recently valued at over $300 million, making it the third most valuable media company in the world.
