A massive internet outages has struck Portugal and other European countries, as well as the US, as part of a data breach at the Heartbleed vulnerability.
More than 50,000 websites are down, according to data from the European Commission.
Ecommerce is also experiencing issues, as some European countries including Portugal have had problems with the ecommerce site Paypal and ecommerce app Gett.
Many of the affected sites have since restored services.
The EU says the data breach, which has affected more than 200,000 sites, will cost Europe up to €2bn ($2.5bn; £1.4bn).
European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker tweeted that “the situation is catastrophic and our thoughts are with the affected companies and their employees”.
The breach at Heartblee is believed to be the first major cyber attack on a national level.
